« Sur une montagne dénudée, Les chap. 13 à 22 rassemblent des poèmes sur les nations étrangères qui étaient en conflit avec Israël et Juda depuis 732, année du siège de Damas et 701, année du siège de Jérusalem par les Assyriens. Plusieurs poèmes contre Babylone ont probablement été ajoutés après la destruction de Jérusalem et du Royaume de Juda par Nabucodonosor en 587.
