2 Chronicles 22:9
French (NBS) 2002 (Nouvelle Bible Segond)
What Does This Mean?
This verse describes how Jehu and his men found Ahaziah, who had hidden in Samaria, and brought him to Jehu. After Ahaziah was killed, he was buried with respect because his father, Jehoshaphat, had sought the Lord with all his heart. As a result, Ahaziah's family lost their power to rule.
Explained for Children
Imagine a game of hide and seek. Ahaziah was hiding, but the others found him. They took him to Jehu and then sadly had to say goodbye to Ahaziah. They treated him with respect because his daddy, Jehoshaphat, had loved God very much.
