Les prêtres et les prophètes leur dirent alors, ainsi qu'à toute la foule: « Cet homme mérite la mort, car il a parlé contre Jérusalem, vous l'avez entendu de vos propres oreilles. » Les prêtres et les prophètes commettent une grave erreur de jugement à l'égard de Jérémie.
