Nehemiah 3:19
Ayamar Bible (Qullan Arunaca)
What Does This Mean?
This verse talks about Ezer, the son of Jeshua, who was the ruler of Mizpah. He worked on repairing a part of the wall near the armoury. The work was done in continuation of the previous repairs mentioned in the previous verse.
Explained for Children
Imagine you and your friends are building a big Lego wall. Ezer was like one of your friends who helped build a part of the wall near where the toys are kept. He worked on making that part of the wall strong and safe, just like you would want your toy area to be safe and protected.
Historical Background
Nehemiah 3 was written by Nehemiah, a Jewish leader who lived around 445 BC. The book details the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem after they were destroyed. The audience was the Jewish people returning to their homeland after exile. This verse describes the orderly and organized rebuilding efforts.
Living It Out Today
In modern terms, think of a community project like fixing up a neighborhood park. Just like Ezer contributed to the wall repair, each person in the community can play a role in improving shared spaces, contributing skills and effort to make the community stronger.
