John 4:53
Arabic SVD 1865 Version (Smith and Van Dyke)
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us that a father believed Jesus when He said his son would live. The father's whole family became believers after they saw the miracle of his son being healed at the exact time Jesus had mentioned.
Explained for Children
Imagine if your toy stopped working, and someone told you it would work again right away. You might not believe them, but what if it really did start working when they said? That's kind of like what happened here with a sick boy who got better just as Jesus said he would.
Historical Background
John wrote this Gospel around AD 90 for Christians who needed to understand more about the identity and mission of Jesus. The story is set in Palestine where Jesus was known for performing miracles that demonstrated His divine authority.
Living It Out Today
Think of a time when someone you trusted gave you hope about a tough situation. Maybe they assured you things would get better, just like this father believed his son would live. In our lives today, we can trust and believe in the promises God gives us through Jesus.
