Revelation 6:1
Arabic Bible Life (Targamet El Hayah) (LA)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Revelation, the Lamb (Jesus) opens a seal on the scroll that contains God's plan for the end times. One of the four living beings then calls out in a voice like thunder, 'Come and see.' This marks the beginning of a series of dramatic events.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a special book with secrets written inside it. The cover has seven locks on it. When Jesus opens one lock, he lets us peek at what's coming next. One of his helpers yells out loudly to get everyone's attention: 'Come and see! Something big is about to happen.'
Historical Background
The Book of Revelation was written by John, one of Jesus' disciples, around the year 96 AD. It was intended for Christians facing persecution under Roman rule in Asia Minor. The imagery reflects his desire to comfort and warn them of future events.
Living It Out Today
Just as the four living beings called others to 'come and see,' we can be like them by inviting our friends or family members to explore something new, especially if it's about understanding God better. This could mean going to a Bible study together or discussing faith with an open mind.
