Galatians 2:10
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Galatians 2:10, Paul is talking about a meeting where he and the leaders of the church agreed that they should remember to help those who are poor. This was something Paul was already eager to do.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a big box of toys, but your friend doesn't have any. Your friends at school say, 'Remember to share some of your toys with your friend.' You're happy because you wanted to share anyway!
Historical Background
This verse was written by the Apostle Paul around 49-50 AD. He wrote it to the Galatian churches who were dealing with issues of equality among believers, especially between Jewish and Gentile Christians.
Living It Out Today
In today's world, this can apply when we see someone in need on the street or hear about a community struggling financially. Remembering the poor could mean donating to charities that support those in need or volunteering at a local food bank.
