Exodus 8:31
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
This verse says that God listened to Moses and removed all the flies from Egypt. There were no flies left. It shows God's power and how He can do exactly what He says He will do.
Explained for Children
Imagine if there were a bunch of annoying flies buzzing around your house, and suddenly they all disappeared. That's what happened in Egypt. God made all the flies go away when Moses asked Him to, showing how powerful God is.
Historical Background
The Book of Exodus was written by Moses around 1446 B.C. It was intended for the Israelites who were about to enter the Promised Land. The story takes place in Egypt where the Israelites were slaves, and the culture was polytheistic with many gods.
Living It Out Today
In a modern scenario, if you face a problem and pray for it to be removed, this verse shows that God is capable of removing all troubles, just like He did with the flies. It encourages faith and trust in God's ability to answer prayers.
