Acts 7:50
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
This verse is from the speech of Stephen in Acts. He is speaking to the Jewish leaders and asks if God really needs a temple made by human hands, reminding them that God has created everything.
Explained for Children
Imagine you make a beautiful sandcastle at the beach; would you need to build another house for the person who taught you how to play in the sand? Stephen is saying something similar - God doesn't need a special building because He made all things already!
Historical Background
The book of Acts was written by Luke, probably around 60-70 AD. This specific verse comes from Stephen's speech before he was stoned to death by angry Jews who were upset with his message about Jesus.
Living It Out Today
Today, this can remind us that God does not need our material possessions or elaborate churches to be present among us. Instead of focusing on building bigger and better things for Him, we should focus on living in a way that honors His creation and His will.
