وَكانَ لآسا جَيْشٌ قِوامُهُ ثَلاثُ مِئَةِ ألفِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ يَهُوذا، وَمِئَتانِ وَثَمانُونَ ألفَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَبِيلَةِ بَنْيامِيْنَ. وَكانَ رِجالُ يَهُوذا مُسَلَّحِينَ بِتُرُوسٍ وَرِماحٍ، وَرِجالُ بَنْيامِيْنَ مُسَلَّحِينَ بِالتُّروسِ وَالأقْواسِ وَالسِّهامِ. وَكانَ هَؤُلاءِ الرِّجالُ كُلُّهُمْ جُنُوداً أقوِياءَ وَشُجعاناً.
