Ezekiel 7:24
Arabic Bible AVDDV 1999 (الكتاب المقدس (تخفيف تشكيل))
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God is speaking and warns that He will bring foreign invaders to take over the houses of the people. He will also stop the pride of the strong and desecrate their holy places.
Explained for Children
Imagine if a mean bully came to your school and took over the playground. That's what this verse is saying, but in a bigger way. God is saying He will let other people come and take over the homes and special places of the people who have been bad.
Historical Background
Ezekiel, a prophet, wrote this around 592-570 BCE. He was addressing the people of Judah, warning them of God's judgment due to their persistent idolatry and sins, during the time of the Babylonian exile.
Living It Out Today
This verse can remind us that if we persist in sin and neglect our spiritual duties, there can be severe consequences. Just like in the verse, our lives can be taken over by negative influences if we are not careful and stay true to our values.
