لَكِنَّ الضَّابِطَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُنْقِذَ بُولُسَ، فَمَنَعَهُمْ مِنْ تَنْفِيذِ قَصْدِهِمْ. فَأَمَرَ الْقَادِرِينَ عَلَى السِّبَاحَةِ أَنْ يَقْفِزُوا أَوَّلًا وَيَخْرُجُوا إِلَى الشَّاطِئِ.
