Ezekiel 6:10
Arabic 2018 (الترجمة الكاثوليكيّة (اليسوعيّة))
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God is speaking and saying that He will make sure the people understand He is the Lord and that He meant what He said about bringing evil upon them as a consequence of their actions. God wants His people to recognize His authority and the seriousness of His warnings.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a friend who always says they'll take away your favorite toy if you don't clean up your room. One day, they do it. This verse is like God saying, 'See, I told you I'd do this if you didn't listen. Now you know I'm serious.'
Historical Background
Ezekiel, a prophet, wrote this during the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BCE. He was addressing the Israelites who had been taken from their homeland by the Babylonians because of their disobedience to God. This message was meant to remind them of God's power and judgment.
Living It Out Today
This verse can be applied to situations where we face consequences of our actions. For example, if someone has been warned about the dangers of addiction and continues to ignore the warnings, they may face serious consequences, just as God warned the Israelites.
