وَرَأى كِبَارُ الكَهَنَةِ وَمُعَلِّمُو الشَّرِيعَةِ العَجَائِبَ الَّتِي عَمِلَهَا، وَرَأوْا الأطْفَالَ يَهْتِفُونَ فِي سَاحَةِ الهَيْكَلِ: «يَعِيشُ المَلِكُ! يَعِيشُ ابْنُ دَاوُدَ،» فَغَضِبُوا جِدًّا وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «ألَا تَسْمَعُ مَا يَقُولُهُ هَؤُلَاءِ الأطْفَالُ؟»
