Ezekiel 11:19
Arabic 2016 (الكِتاب المُقَدَّس: التَّرْجَمَةُ العَرَبِيَّةُ المُبَسَّطَةُ)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God promises to give His people a new heart and a new spirit, removing their hard, stubborn hearts and replacing them with hearts that are soft and receptive. God is speaking directly to His people, offering them a chance at true change and spiritual renewal.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a toy made of stone that doesn't move or feel anything. Now, God is saying He will take that stone toy and give you a soft, cuddly toy instead. This cuddly toy can love, feel, and move, just like a new heart that loves God and listens to Him.
Historical Background
This verse comes from the book of Ezekiel, written around 593-571 BC. Ezekiel, a prophet, is addressing the exiled Israelites in Babylon, promising them restoration and renewal. At this time, the Israelites were struggling with their faith and needed a message of hope and transformation.
Living It Out Today
Imagine someone in your community who is always grumpy and stubborn. This verse encourages us to pray for this person, asking God to soften their heart and make them more open to love and kindness, just like God promised to do for His people in Ezekiel's time.
