John 5:11
Amharic Bible (መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ (የብሉይና የሐዲስ ኪዳን መጻሕፍት))
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from John's Gospel, a man who was healed by Jesus responds to some people asking him about his healing. He tells them that the one who made him whole also told him to take up his bed and walk.
Explained for Children
Imagine you were really sick but then someone came along and made you all better! They even told you, 'Go play outside now!' That's what happened here. Jesus healed a man and told him he could get back to normal life.
Historical Background
The Gospel of John was written by the apostle John around AD 90-100 for Greek-speaking Christians. This story takes place in Jerusalem where Jewish religious leaders were skeptical about healing on the Sabbath, which is why they questioned the man who was healed.
Living It Out Today
When we experience God's help or healing, whether physical or spiritual, it’s important to recognize and share that with others. For example, if someone asks how you got through a tough time, remember to give credit where it's due!
