Explained for Children
Imagine you have a seed that your grandpa planted, promising it would grow into the biggest tree ever. Well, this verse says that when the time came for that big tree to grow, lots and lots of people were born in Egypt, just like seeds growing into many trees!
Historical Background
The Book of Acts was written by Luke, a companion of Paul, around 60-80 AD. It's part of Stephen's speech before the Sanhedrin. The audience is primarily Jewish Christians and those interested in early Christian teachings.
Living It Out Today
Today, this verse can remind us to trust God’s timing for promises He makes in our lives. Just like the Israelites grew in number while waiting, we should patiently expect God's plans to unfold.
