Matthew 25:41
Amharic Tigrinya 2011
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, Jesus is speaking and addressing people who have not lived according to God's will. He tells them they are cursed and must leave his presence for an everlasting fire made for the devil and his followers.
Explained for Children
Imagine a big party where only good kids get invited because they've been nice all year. But some kids were mean, so the host asks those kids to go home instead of joining the fun forever with everyone else.
Historical Background
Matthew wrote this part of his Gospel around AD 80-90 for a Jewish-Christian audience. The cultural context was one where the coming judgment and separation between righteous and wicked individuals was a common theme in Jewish thought.
Living It Out Today
Today, if someone is ignoring their responsibilities to help others or act kindly, they might reconsider before it's too late. This verse reminds us of the importance of living according to God’s commandments.
