Mark 6:35
Amharic Tigrinya 2011
What Does This Mean?
This verse describes a situation where Jesus and his disciples are in a desert place, late in the day. The disciples notice that it is getting very late and suggest they need to do something about food for everyone.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're on a long trip with your family and suddenly realize how late it is! You might say, 'Mom, Dad, we're far from home, and it's so late. We should think about finding some food!' That's what the disciples are doing here, but they're talking to Jesus.
Historical Background
Mark wrote this Gospel around AD 65-70 for a primarily Gentile audience. The setting reflects the challenging conditions of traveling in ancient times, especially in desert regions where resources were scarce and travel was difficult.
Living It Out Today
In modern life, we often face situations where it seems like everything is falling apart at the end of the day or when things are most stressful. This verse reminds us to seek solutions with faith and rely on God’s guidance during these times.
