John 7:32
Amharic Tigrinya 2011
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, the Pharisees and chief priests hear that people are talking about Jesus in a way they don't like. They decide to send officers to arrest him.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're at school and some kids start saying nice things about another kid who's different from everyone else. The teachers don't like this, so they tell the principal to bring that kid to their office. That's kind of what's happening here with Jesus.
Historical Background
The Gospel of John was written by one of Jesus' disciples around 90-100 AD. It describes events in Jerusalem where Jewish leaders were suspicious of Jesus and wanted to stop him from gaining influence among the people.
Living It Out Today
Today, when you see someone being unfairly targeted because they are different or because others feel threatened by them, remember this story. Stand up for those who might be wrongly treated like Jesus was here.
