1 John 3:10
Amharic Gamo (ጋሞ ማጻፋ)
What Does This Mean?
This verse from 1 John says that we can tell the difference between those who follow God and those who don't by how they act and treat others. If someone doesn’t do good things or love their brothers and sisters, they aren’t truly following God.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have two groups of kids in your class: one group is nice to everyone and helps clean up toys, while the other group doesn't help and can be mean. This verse says it's easy to see which kids belong to each group by how they act!
Historical Background
The apostle John wrote this letter around AD 90-100 to early Christian communities in Asia Minor. He was addressing a time when false teachings were spreading, so he emphasized true faith and its expressions through righteous living and love.
Living It Out Today
In today's world, we can apply this verse by being mindful of how we treat others at work or school. If someone consistently shows unkindness or refuses to do their part in a group project, they might not be acting as God’s child would.
