Zechariah 7:1
Amharic 2000 (የአማርኛ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ (ሰማንያ አሃዱ))
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us when Zechariah received a message from God. It happened in the fourth year of King Darius, on the fourth day of the ninth month called Chisleu. The message is from God.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a friend who sends you a special letter every now and then to give you advice. Zechariah got one of these letters from his best friend, God, during a specific time when King Darius was in charge.
Historical Background
Zechariah, a prophet, wrote this in the fourth year of King Darius's reign around 520 BC. The audience would have been Israelites returning from exile, and the setting involved rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem.
Living It Out Today
Today, when you receive advice or guidance, think about how you can apply it practically, just like Zechariah did with his message from God. For example, if your friend advises you to study more for an exam, take that advice seriously and act on it.
