[12-15] “As ’n man agterdogtig raak en dink sy vrou het ’n verhouding met ’n ander man, moet hy haar na die priester toe bring. Dit kan wees dat die getroude vrou by iemand anders geslaap het sonder dat haar man daarvan weet of sonder dat iemand dit uitgevind het. Dit kan ook wees dat, al was sy ontrou, daar geen getuie was wat haar betrap het nie. Dit kan ook wees dat die man agterdogtig is en sy vrou van sulke slegte dinge verdink sonder dat sy iets verkeerds gedoen het. In al hierdie gevalle moet die man sy vrou na die priester toe bring. Hy moet ook ’n offer bring van een en ’n half kilogram garsmeel. Hy moet die meel nie met olie en wierook meng nie, want so ’n offer waar ’n man sy vrou nie vertrou nie, is ’n offer wat die waarheid aan die lig moet bring.
