[36-37] Toe sê Gideon vir God: “As U my regtig gaan gebruik om Israel te verlos soos U belowe het, bewys dit vir my. Ek sit hierdie stukke wolmat op die dorsvloer neer. As die mat môre nat is van die dou en die grond rondom is droog, sal ek weet dat U my gaan help soos U belowe het.”
