Ek sê weer, hoor wat is die Here se boodskap vir julle. Hy sê: Ek het ’n eed gesweer en Ek is so ernstig daaroor dat Ek my Naam en reputasie op die spel sit. My Naam sal nooit weer deur enige van die mense van Juda wat in Egipte is, genoem word nie. Julle mag nie my Naam gebruik as julle ’n plegtige belofte maak om krag aan julle woorde te gee nie. Julle mag nooit weer sê: ‘So waar as die Here leef’ nie!
