Daniel 7:3
Armenian Eastern Bible 1994
What Does This Mean?
In Daniel 7:3, the prophet Daniel describes a vision in which four large and distinct beasts emerge from the sea. This imagery is symbolic and represents different kingdoms or empires that would arise throughout history.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're at the beach, and suddenly, out of the water, come four really big animals, each one looking totally different from the others. In Daniel's story, these beasts are like huge characters in a play, showing us what will happen with different countries over time.
Historical Background
Daniel wrote this chapter around 530 BCE during his exile in Babylon. He was part of the Jewish community who were taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. This vision is meant for Daniel and future generations, predicting the rise and fall of empires affecting God's people.
Living It Out Today
Think about when a new leader takes charge at your school or in your neighborhood. Just like those beasts symbolize big changes, any change can feel overwhelming but this verse reminds us to trust that there is a bigger plan overseeing these shifts.
