Les Lévites et tout Juda exécutèrent tout ce que le pontife Joïada leur avait ordonné. Et ils prirent chacun les gens qui étaient sous eux, soit ceux qui venaient à leur rang faire leur semaine (l'ordre du sabbat), soit ceux qui l'avaient faite (accompli le sabbat) et qui sortaient du service ; car le pontife Joïada n'avait pas permis aux troupes (bandes), qui devaient se succéder chaque semaine, de se retirer.
