Revelation 1:12
Bashkir 2014 - Инжил Башҡортча
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Revelation, John turns to see who is speaking to him and sees seven golden candlesticks. This vision is part of a series of symbolic images John receives about the churches and their challenges.
Explained for Children
Imagine you hear someone talking to you in your room. You turn around to find out where the voice came from, and suddenly you see seven big candles that are made of gold! That's what happened to John here, but these weren't ordinary candles; they had a special meaning.
Historical Background
The book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John towards the end of his life around 95 AD. He wrote this while in exile on Patmos and addressed it to seven churches in Asia Minor facing persecution and temptation from Roman culture and pagan religions.
Living It Out Today
Just as John turned to see more clearly who was speaking, we can turn to understand better what God is saying through our experiences. Imagine a team leader asking for feedback; turning towards that input could mean understanding challenges and responding proactively.
