Hebrews 9:25
azerbaijan-2013
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us that Jesus did not need to offer sacrifices many times like the high priest who entered the Holy Place yearly with animal blood. Instead, he offered himself once for all time.
Explained for Children
Imagine if you had a big mess in your room and needed to clean it up. The high priest would have to do this cleaning every year using someone else's help (like asking your friend each time). But Jesus cleaned up the whole world just once by doing it himself!
Historical Background
The book of Hebrews was written around AD 60-70, likely by Paul or one of his followers. It was addressed to Jewish Christians who were considering going back to their old ways because they found Christianity too challenging.
Living It Out Today
In our modern lives, we can see how this applies when someone takes responsibility for a mistake and makes it right once and for all, rather than repeatedly trying to fix the same issue over and over again.
