This verse is the last in the letter from Paul to Timothy. It's a blessing and prayer that Jesus Christ will be with Timothy's spirit, and that grace (God’s unmerited favor) would be with him too.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have your favorite toy with you always; this verse says Jesus wants to be like that favorite toy for Timothy, always there. And just like when someone gives you a big hug, God is giving Timothy and us all His love and care.
Historical Background
This letter was written by the Apostle Paul towards the end of his life, likely around AD 67, as he awaited execution in Rome. He wrote to Timothy, his spiritual son, encouraging him and leaving final instructions and blessings.
Living It Out Today
