Assamese - 2019 (ইণ্ডিয়ান ৰিভাইচ ভাৰচন (IRV) আচামিচ - 2019)
What Does This Mean?
God is speaking to Isaac, telling him to stay in the land where he is and promising to bless him and his descendants. God also promises to fulfill the oath He made to Abraham, Isaac's father.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're on a camping trip, and your friend tells you to stay in the tent because they promise to bring you lots of yummy food and fun toys. That's what God is telling Isaac: stay where you are, and He will take care of you and your family, just like He promised to Isaac's dad, Abraham.
Historical Background
The book of Genesis was written by Moses around 1446-1406 BC. It was intended for the Israelites to remind them of their origins and God's covenant promises. The cultural setting was post-exodus, where the Israelites were preparing to enter the Promised Land.
Living It Out Today
Today, when you're in a new place or facing a change, remember God's promise to be with you and bless you. Just as Isaac was encouraged to stay and not worry, you can trust God to provide for you and fulfill His promises.
