Ezekiel 42:15
Assamese - 2019 (ইণ্ডিয়ান ৰিভাইচ ভাৰচন (IRV) আচামিচ - 2019)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, Ezekiel describes the end of the measurements of the inner house. Then, he is taken outside to the east gate and the area is measured all around. This shows the completion of one part and the start of another in the vision of the temple.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're building a big Lego house. You finish one part, like the kitchen, and then you go outside and start measuring the whole yard around the house. That's what's happening here in Ezekiel's story.
Historical Background
The book of Ezekiel was written by the prophet Ezekiel around 593-571 BCE. This verse is part of his vision of the temple in Jerusalem, given to him while he was in exile in Babylon. The audience was the Israelites who were in exile, and the cultural setting was one of hope and restoration.
Living It Out Today
Just as Ezekiel completed one part of the vision and moved on to another, we too can find closure in completing tasks and moving on to new ones in our lives. This can be applied to finishing a project at work and then starting a new one.
