وَمَكَثَ مُوسَى فِي حَضْرَةِ الرَّبِّ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً وَأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً، لَمْ يَأْكُلْ فِيهَا خُبْزاً، وَلَمْ يَشْرَبْ مَاءً. فَدَوَّنَ عَلَى اللَّوْحَينِ كَلِمَاتِ العَهْدِ، أَيِ الْوَصَايَا الْعَشْرَ.
