Matthew 13:39
Arabic SAB (الكتاب الشريف)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Matthew, Jesus explains a parable about the end of times. He says that the enemy who sows evil is the devil, and at the end of the world, angels will gather all people for judgment.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing in a field with good seeds and bad weeds mixed together. The bad weeds are like the things the devil does to cause trouble. At the end of time, God's helpers (the angels) will sort out who is good and who isn't, just like sorting out which plants are the crops we want and which ones are weeds.
Historical Background
Matthew was written around 80-90 AD by a follower of Jesus. The audience included both Jewish and Gentile Christians. This parable helps them understand spiritual battles and God's ultimate plan for judgment.
Living It Out Today
This verse reminds us to be aware of the influence of evil in our lives. Just as farmers watch over their fields, we should guard against negative influences and seek good spiritual guidance.
