فَصَرَخُوا: ”اُقْتُلْهُ! اُقْتُلْهُ! اِصْلِبْهُ!“ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ بِيلَاطِسُ: ”هَلْ أَصْلِبُ مَلِكَكُمْ؟“ أَجَابَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْأَحْبَارِ: ”لَا مَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَ قَيْصَرَ.“
