فَقَامَ بَلْعَامُ فِي الصَّبَاحِ وَقَالَ لِلقَادَةِ الَّذِينَ أرسَلَهُمْ بَالَاقُ: «ارجِعُوا إلَى أرْضِكُمْ لِأنَّ اللهَ رَفَضَ أنْ يَسْمَحَ لِي بِالذَّهَابِ مَعَكُمْ.»
