«كَيْفَ أتَخَلَّى عَنْكَ يَا أفْرَايِمُ؟ كَيْفَ يُمكِنُنِي أنْ أُسَلِّمَكَ إلَى أعْدَائِكَ يَا إسْرَائِيلُ؟ كَيْفَ أتَخَلَّى عَنْكِ كَأدَمَةَ؟ كَيْفَ أجعَلُكَ كَصَبُوِييمَ؟ اضطَرَبَ قَلْبِي فِي دَاخِلِي، وَمَشَاعِرُ المَحبَّةِ وَالحَنَانِ اشتَعَلَتْ.
