لَكِنَّ يُوآبَ قَالَ: «لَيْتَ إلَهَكَ يَزِيدُ عَدَدَ الشَّعْبِ مِئَةَ ضِعْفٍ. يَا مَوْلَايَ المَلِكُ، ألَيْسُوا كُلُّهُمْ خُدَّامَكَ؟ فَلِمَاذَا تُرِيدُ أنْ تَفْعَلَ هَذَا؟ وَلِمَاذَا يَكُونُ سَبَبَ ذَنْبٍ لِإسْرَائِيلَ؟»
