1 John 3:2
Arabic Bible Morocco Version - 2012 (الترجمة المغربية القياسية)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from 1 John, the author tells us that we are already God's children but don't yet know what we will become in the future. He assures us that when Jesus returns, we'll be like him because we'll see him as he truly is.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing hide-and-seek with your best friend, and they've hidden somewhere amazing. Right now, you don't know what it looks like, but once you find them, everything will make sense! That's how it is with us and God - we'll understand more when Jesus comes back.
Historical Background
The Apostle John wrote this epistle around 95 AD to early Christians in Asia Minor. His audience was facing false teachings about Christ, so he emphasized the truth of Jesus' identity and their relationship with God as His children.
Living It Out Today
Think about a time when you were unsure about your future but believed something great would happen. This verse encourages us to trust that our ultimate destiny is connected to Christ's return and likeness to Him, even in uncertain times.
