Judges 7:7
Arabic Bible Life (Targamet El Hayah) (LA)
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, the Lord tells Gideon that only 300 men who drank water in a specific way will be used to save Israel from the Midianites. The rest of the army is sent home. This shows that God chooses who He wants to use, regardless of numbers.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a big box of crayons, but only the red ones can draw the most beautiful pictures. God is like that, choosing a few special people to do amazing things, just like He chose 300 men to do something big.
Historical Background
The book of Judges was written by various authors, possibly Samuel, around 1050 BC. It was written for the Israelites to remind them of God's faithfulness and the consequences of following other gods.
Living It Out Today
This verse teaches that God can use a small group of committed people to accomplish great things. Think of a small team in your workplace that can complete a big project if they work together with focus.
