Isaiah 31:4
Arabic Bible Life (Targamet El Hayah) (LA)
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us that God, like a lion, will not be scared or back down, even when many people try to scare Him away. God will come to protect His people, just like He will protect Mount Zion.
Explained for Children
Imagine a big, brave lion who is protecting its cub. Even if lots of people try to scare the lion away, the lion won't be scared. God is like that lion, and He will always protect His people, just like the lion protects its cub.
Historical Background
Isaiah wrote this verse around 700 BC, during the time of the Assyrian threat. God was speaking through Isaiah to reassure the people of Jerusalem that He would protect them, despite the overwhelming forces of the Assyrians.
Living It Out Today
In our modern lives, this verse can remind us that God will not be scared off by our fears or the challenges we face. He will fight for us, just as He did for the people of Mount Zion. For example, if you are facing a difficult situation at school or work, remember that God is with you and will protect you.
