Ezekiel 24:13
Arabic Bible Life (Targamet El Hayah) (LA)
What Does This Mean?
In Ezekiel 24:13, God is speaking to the people of Israel, saying that despite His efforts to cleanse them, they have not changed their ways. God warns that their sin will continue until He allows His anger to be fully expressed.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a toy that's really dirty. Your mom tries to clean it, but you keep playing in the mud. She tells you that the toy will stay dirty until you learn not to play in the mud anymore. In this verse, God is like the mom, and the people are like the toy that keeps getting dirty.
Historical Background
Ezekiel, a prophet, wrote this during the Babylonian exile, around 593-571 BC. He was addressing the Jewish people who were exiled from their homeland, warning them about the consequences of their sins and the need for repentance.
Living It Out Today
Imagine someone who keeps making the same mistakes, despite being given advice and chances to improve. This verse reminds us that God gives us opportunities to change and cleanse ourselves, but if we refuse, we may face consequences until we learn our lesson.
