فقامَ يونانُ وذهبَ، لا إلى نينَوى، بل إلى مدينةِ تَرشيشَ هرَبا مِنْ وجهِ الرّبِّ. فنزلَ إلى يافا فوجدَ سفينةً سائرةً إلى تَرشيشَ، فدفعَ أُجرتَها ونزلَ فيها ليذهبَ معَ ملاَّحيها إلى هُناكَ بعيدا مِنْ وجهِ الرّبِّ.
