فلمَّا ا نْقَضَت تِلكَ السَّنَةُ جاؤوا في السَّنةِ الثَّانيةِ وقالوا لَه: «لا نُخفي علَيكَ يا سيِّدي أنَّ الفِضَّةَ نَفَدَت، ومُقْتَنانَا مِنَ البَهائِمِ هوَ عِندَك، وما بقِـيَ عِندَنا لِنُعطيَكَ إلاَّ أبدانَنا وأراضينا.
