أكتُبُ إلَيكُم يا أبنائي الصّغارُ، لأنّكُم تَعرفونَ الآبَ. كَتَبتُ إلَيكُم أيّها الآباءُ، لأنّكُم تَعرِفونَ الذي كانَ مِنَ البَدءِ. كتَبتُ إلَيكُم أيّها الشّبّانُ لأنّكُم أقوياءُ، ولأنّ كلِمَةَ اللهِ ثابِتةٌ فيكُم، ولأنّكم غَلَبتُمُ الشّرّيرَ.
