Matthew 24:28
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
This verse from Matthew says that wherever there is a dead body, eagles will gather around it. Jesus is speaking and the message suggests that where there is something significant happening, people or attention will follow.
Explained for Children
Imagine you drop a cookie on the floor – all your friends would rush to see it! This verse means when something important happens, like an eagle finding food, other eagles come too. Jesus is telling us that when big things happen, others pay attention just like those eagles.
Historical Background
Matthew wrote this Gospel around 80-90 AD for a Jewish-Christian audience living in a time of significant political and social upheaval under Roman rule. The verse is part of Jesus’ teachings on the end times and signs that will precede his return.
Living It Out Today
In today's world, think about how news spreads quickly when something big happens – like seeing traffic pile up at an accident scene. This can remind us to be alert to important spiritual events or moral issues happening around us and respond appropriately.
