حَدَثَ هَذا لِكَي يَجعَلَ اللهُ أبِيمالِكَ يَدفَعُ ثَمَنَ عُنفِهِ مَعَ أبناءِ يَرُبَّعَلَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلَهُمْ، وَلِكَي يَدفَعَ سَادَةُ شَكيمَ ثَمَنَ تَشجِيعِهِمْ لَهُ عَلَى قَتلِ إخْوَتِهِ.
