Hebrews 3:2
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
This verse says Jesus was faithful to God just like Moses was faithful in leading the people of Israel. It's a way of saying both were very reliable and did exactly what they needed to do.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a really good friend who always does their chores without being asked, that’s how faithful Moses was with his job. Jesus is like that too; he always obeyed God.
Historical Background
This verse comes from the Book of Hebrews, written by an unknown author around AD 60-95 to encourage Jewish Christians. The audience consisted mainly of Jews who were considering returning to Judaism, emphasizing Jesus as superior to Old Testament figures like Moses.
Living It Out Today
In a modern context, if you are given responsibilities at work or school, this verse reminds us to be faithful and diligent in fulfilling our duties, just as both Jesus and Moses were.
