Ezekiel 20:23
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God is speaking and saying that He will scatter His people among other nations and disperse them through different countries. This was a promise He made while they were in the wilderness.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a group of friends playing in a big playground, but then you have to spread them all over different playgrounds. God is saying He will do something similar with His people, spreading them out to different places.
Historical Background
Ezekiel, a prophet, wrote this around 593 BCE. He was speaking to the Israelites, who were already in exile, reminding them of God's past promises and the consequences of their disobedience.
Living It Out Today
Today, we can see parallels in how people move to different countries for various reasons, including following God's leading or escaping difficult situations. This verse can remind us of God's sovereignty over our lives, even when we feel scattered.
