ثُمَّ تحدَّثتِ المرأةُ بحِكمَةٍ شَديدَةٍ إلَى النّاسِ كُلِّهِم في المدينَةِ. فقَطَعُوا رأسَ شِبَعَ بنَ بِكري ورَمْوا بهِ إلَى يوآبَ مِنْ فَوْقِ سُورِ المدينَةِ. ثُمَّ نَفَخَ يوآبُ في البوقِ وغادرَ الجَيشُ المَدينَةَ. فَذَهَبَ الجنُودُ إلَى ديارِهم وعادَ يوآبُ إلَى المَلِكِ في مَدينَةِ القُدْسِ.
